ROUND-UP GUIDE · 3 EVENTS
A well dressing is a picture made from natural materials around a village water source. Tissington, Wirksworth and Youlgreave each do it their own way, and the joy is up close, picking out petals and seeds, not dashing round ticking off villages.
There's no shared festival week. Tissington follows Ascension Day, Wirksworth usually gathers around the late May bank holiday and Youlgreave keeps its own June rule. Pin down a confirmed display period first, then use the individual guide for parking, walking and any blessing service. The usual date is a handy steer, but wait for the organiser's say-so.
